As the Collagen VI Association, we have created the children’s and youth book ‘Pinuccio Faster than the Wind’ to help young ones with neuromuscular diseases accept the use of a wheelchair when they can no longer walk.

The aim of this book is to help children see the wheelchair as a tool for freedom and independence (while also assisting parents in accepting this aid). We believe it is a way to promote understanding by presenting a wheelchair not as a limitation but as a tool for freedom. We hope that this book can help not only children with col6 deficiency-related conditions but also anyone who, for any reason, needs a wheelchair.
